Morning! So, I told you yesterday that how I decided not to go to university in Japan. My grandma's death wasn't the only reason. At my high school, there were four classes but one class was called "Super Advanced" which means only top 40 students can get into this class.
I couldn't get in this class when I was first grade at high school (10th grade). I hated my class because students around me because they didn't have motivation to study at all. I studied like 10 hours everyday to get into "Super Advanced" class. After one year, I got into this class with the rank of 9. I felt like top of the world!!
As I started studying in this class, I noticed things were so different from "Advanced" class. Students in this class JUST studied. In another words, no hanging out with friends or club activity like play in rugby team something like that. Everyone was so devoted to study. Teachers always told us "this would be on entrance exam. So please memorize".
I didn't like to study for entrance exam. For instance, I really liked studying English. But studying English for exam was so different, in some ways useless. I fought against teachers all the time even with my favourite teachers. Always saying "Why do I have to do this? Why? This is so wrong".
Digging my memories isn't easy. But it is important to know how I've come so far and the the path I went through.
