Hello there! Do you have/used to have favourite professors at school? I'm always good with mid-aged teachers with gray hair lol One of the professor at my uni is always good to me. Partly because his youngest daughter's name is Haruka as well! After graduated from top university in Japan, he started working at TOSHIBA. After a couple of years, he went to the U.S. and studied engineering at MIT. He worked as a consultant for a certain period in the U.S. and came back to Japan. He experienced vice president of prominent consulting company, Accenture.
What I think is important as a business professor is "real experience". I see some professors who's in academic world for his/her entire life and never really worked in the real business world. So when I asked my finance professor "what is the meaning studying this? Is this any useful in the real world?". Then he couldn't answer. It's useless that we learn something but if it weren't practical. Because my favourite teacher teaches us more "real business", so I like him. When I'm stuck with my project, I mean Gym In Japan, I always ask for help lol Free top consultant!!! I even wanna be his 4th daughter lol
Because of him, I'm glad that I chose my current university. The great thing about my course is the class size. I would never take a class with 400 people! At least 3 students and at most 25 students. So I can always ask questions and discuss with other classmates/professor. Also, we don't have exams. We have for finance and accounting but not for other subjects. Usually paper and presentation. I especially like presentation because it's practical and I like talking in front of people! lol
Right now, I'm in my spring holiday and I can't wait to go back to school because it's fun!
See you tomorrow!
Haruka
