American football and the U.S.

Hello there! I didn't come up with idea to write about so I'm writing my blog now! I saw a post that my uni's American football team was looking for someone to manage their website. I was interested so I messaged them and I had a meeting today!

I liked the players because they came to me and talked to me! Some of them even talked to me in English so I said "What's up bro?" lol I'm interested in American football because I went to see a game when I visited the states. I stayed with an American family for a week when I was a junior high school student. Everything was so big! I mean cakes, drinks, and ice cream!! What I was surprised the most was the attitudes of students at school. When I visited a local junior high school and stood in front of students, the teacher asked them "Do you have any questions to those students from Japan?". Then everyone raised their hands. I mean in Japan, students usually wait until teachers point out. That means they normally don't speak out even if they want. I felt so strange when I was a junior high school student. So students ask questions after the class not during the class because one is afraid of asking questions. Also, students were wearing what they want and girls were even wearing a makeup! In Japan, you need to wear uniform at most schools and teachers could scold at you because of the length of your skirt. I mean the skirt shouldn't be above your knee. There are so much rules and I didn't like it at all.

Therefore, when I visited the states, I felt so jealous of local students and I came to think "I want to study in the U.S. one day". I chose to study in UK because of my degree. I'm still interested in the U.S. and I would like to live/work there if I could because I get along with Americans.

See you tomorrow!
